Jack Saunders

Jack is a solicitor in the Energy team at Stephens Scown.

Jack joined the firm in 2017 after completing his LLB Law degree at the University of Reading, and the LPC at the University of Law in Exeter. Jack qualified as a solicitor in 2019.

He advises landowners, developers, funders and Community Benefit Societies on the property aspects of renewable energy projects including solar PV, wind, battery, hydro, biomass and grid.

Jack’s work includes undertaking property due diligence on these renewable energy projects and negotiating and advising on commercial Options, Leases, Grid Connection and Power Purchase Agreements.

His recent work includes:

  • Property due diligence on a portfolio of prospective solar PV sites for a Community Benefit Society
  • Acting for landowners in the negotiation of options and leases in respect of multiple solar, battery and onshore wind sites.

In his spare time, Jack plays rugby, surfs and spends time on his motorbike.
