Charlotte Cowgill
Chartered Legal Executive
Charlotte joined Stephens Scown in 2023 as a Chartered Legal Executive in the Employment team.
A member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA), she specialises in litigation with experience in working for businesses.
Some of her recent cases include:
- Achieving several successful strike out applications where the claimants were either vexatious or had submitted claims that were likely to fail, saving the client a considerable amount of money in defending those claims.
- Achieving a settlement for a client for a claim which they were bound to fail on, following protracted and difficult negotiations, saving the client the stress and cost of having to defend a claim in the tribunal that they would have lost.
- Winning costs on behalf of a client which allowed them to recover some of the money spent in legal fees defending claims which were weak.
Outside of work, Charlotte likes to spend her time in the gym, taking her dog on long countryside walks, and visiting restaurants with friends.
