Toby is a consultant in our Dispute Resolution team in Cornwall and qualified as a Solicitor in December 1992 after gaining a Geology Degree from London University. He joined Stephens Scown in September 2015, where he was a partner until 2026. 

In his consultancy role, Toby is committed to further developing the specialist Commercial Dispute Resolution team at Stephens Scown.  

Throughout his career, Toby acted for businesses and individuals, dealing with a variety of commercial and corporate disputes. These included shareholder and partners disputes, professional negligence, financial and property claims. 

Toby supports Stephens Scown’s specialist Charity, Marine, and Healthcare sectors having recently acted on a number of matters in these areas. 

He is also a practising mediator having trained with the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Group in 2001.
