Stephens Scown has recognised the experience and expertise of nine high fliers in its latest round of promotions across a range of specialist legal services.

Employee-owned law firm, Stephens Scown LLP, which has consistently placed in the Best Companies to Work For list for seven consecutive years, has promoted five lawyers to partner. The new partners are divorce and matrimonial finance specialist Thea Bennun, Catherine Carlton, a specialist in corporate and commercial law, Thomas Chartres-Moore, an IP and IT solicitor who also heads up the firm’s food and drink sector team, property litigation specialist Ian Thomas and chartered legal executive, Tim Walmsley, who heads up the firm’s public sector team.

In addition to these promotions, Stephens Scown has also recently recruited partners from outside the firm, including family law specialist Jill Bruce, and Aimee Barrable and John Beesley, who have joined the firm’s Commercial Real Estate team.

Sean Jenner, who specialises in insolvency and corporate commercial matters, and Mark Forsey, who specialises in commercial property, have been promoted to senior associate.

Meanwhile, family law solicitors Kirstin Sibley, divorce and matrimonial finance / wealth protection specialist, and Harriet Wigmore, who also specialises in divorce and matrimonial finance matters as well as private children work, have been made associates.
