Harriet is a solicitor specialising in the resolution of financial matters upon the breakdown of a marriage, as well as private law disputes regarding children. Harriet represents clients through divorce proceedings and the dissolution of civil partnerships, as well as acting for clients in respect of financial matters on both a contested and an uncontested basis. This includes dealing with pensions, partnerships, companies, farms, financial contributions from relatives and pre-acquired assets where relevant. Harriet’s clients include those who are employed, those are self-employed, and those who are full-time parents.


Harriet attended the University of Exeter and gained a first class degree in English Literature before completing her GDL and LPC. Harriet qualified as a solicitor in 2017.


Harriet’s recent work includes:

  • successfully representing a client in defending an application by their spouse for a signed Consent Order to be upheld
  • advising clients in respect of both making and defending maintenance variation applications
  • successfully representing a client in applying for non-matrimonial assets to be valued
  • representing clients making interim maintenance applications and legal services order applications to provide clients with interim funding for legal costs where financial matters are contested
  • obtaining orders regulating contact arrangements between parents and children and drafting emergency children applications where necessary.


Outside of work, Harriet enjoys playing netball and running, as well as spending time at her allotment.
