Richard became managing partner of Stephens Scown in May 2019.

A real estate solicitor, he qualified in November 1992 and joined the firm in 1993. He specialised in the Rural and Mining & Minerals sectors and dealt predominately with complex property deals and development for his clients. Richard is also well known in the region’s Tourism sector as he launched the firm’s Holiday Parks’ team.

Richard was a member of the firm’s management board and led the growth and success of the Truro office for 6 years, before becoming managing partner.

Richard undertook the Harvard Business School – Leadership in Law Firms program in 2019.
