We’ve recently expanded our dispute resolution team in Cornwall with the appointments of a new partner and senior associate.
Toby Claridge joins the Truro office as partner in the commercial dispute resolution team. He has over 20 years’ experience in the legal profession, and joins Stephens Scown from Foot Anstey. Ian Thomas joins the firm as senior associate in the St Austell office specialising in property litigation. Previously he worked at Parnalls and Foot Anstey.
Toby Claridge has particular experience in shareholder and partnership breakdown, banking, professional negligence and general commercial disputes. Additionally, Toby acts on disputed trusts and inheritance claims. He has successfully mediated on a range of professional indemnity and commercial disputes and is happy to be engaged on any non-matrimonial mediation. He is a member of the Professional Negligence Litigators Association, Property Lawyers Association, and Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitors.
Ian Thomas is an experienced solicitor who has specialised for many years in property litigation covering all aspects of residential, commercial and agricultural property. Ian also deals with contentious probate and general civil matters, as well as arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. He is a member of the Property Litigation Association as well as the Cornwall Law Society.
