Tom Moore, one of Stephens Scown’s intellectual property specialists, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of local food and drink champions, Food & Drink Devon.
Tom who is based in the firm’s Exeter office has particular expertise in the food and drink sector, helping businesses including Bell & Loxton, Eversfield Organic and Sandford Orchards protect and exploit their brands.
Commenting on the appointment, Barbara King, chair of Food & Drink Devon said: “We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Tom’s calibre join the Food & Drink Devon Board. I’m sure his knowledge of intellectual property will benefit our members.”
Tom added: “Food & Drink Devon does a fantastic job and I’m delighted to be getting more involved. Intellectual property is particularly important for food and drink businesses, most of whom rely on building strong brands. I hope my expertise will compliment the fantastic skills already held by directors on the board of Food & Drink Devon.”
