Leading South West law firm Stephens Scown has advised London based Outreach Talent Group (OTG) on its sale to global entertainment company THE·TEAM, in a deal that reflects the growing maturity and commercial value of the creator economy. The deal adds a UK business to the Creators division of THE·TEAM launched in 2023 and expands its client base in Europe. OTG has grown significantly in recent years and was named ‘bCreator Talent Agency of the Year’ in 2025.
Stephens Scown has worked with OTG since the business was established in 2021, supporting its growth through legal advice tailored to the creator economy with the relationship lead by Intellectual Property and Data Protection Partner and influencer law specialist Amy Ralston. Along with its London base OTG also has an office in New York and its clients include English rugby player Jess Breach, British springboard diver Matty Lee, Clean with Bea, Montel Mckenzie, Home with Roo and Laila Paul.
Corporate Partner Jade Kent led the legal team on the sale advising founders Emilio and Amy Arciniega, alongside Amy Ralston, Corporate Partner Giles Dunning, Employment Partner Laura McFadyen and Corporate Solicitor Molly Ripley.
Under the acquisition, Emilio will join THE·TEAM as Senior Vice President, Creators, while continuing to represent OTG’s roster of talent.
Emilio says, “Joining THE·TEAM gives our clients access to greater opportunities, capabilities and support beyond the UK, while allowing us to build on what has made OTG successful. We are incredibly proud of what we have built and confident that THE·TEAM’s platform will help us continue that growth over the long term.”
He also said, “To Stephens Scown (Jade, Molly, Giles, Laura and Amy), …thank you for your tireless support and guidance during this process.”
Amy believes the transaction reflects a broader trend within the rapidly evolving creator economy.
“Businesses operating in the creator economy have become increasingly sophisticated over recent years. The sector is attracting significant investment and acquisition activity, as the value of creator-led brands, intellectual property and audience engagement becomes more widely recognised. We have had the pleasure of supporting Emilio and the OTG team since the business was founded and have seen first-hand the impressive growth they have achieved.”
“This transaction involved extensive corporate, commercial, intellectual property, employment and data protection considerations, supported by the wider team, including, Eleanor Stevens, Becky Pickford, Thomas Chartres-Moore, Mia Beavis, Max Miliffe and Jessica Connery. Their efforts were instrumental in helping the transaction complete successfully.”
“The acquisition is a strong example of how creator businesses are evolving into highly valuable commercial enterprises with international reach. We expect to see continued growth and consolidation across the sector as businesses look to scale, expand internationally and access new opportunities. We are delighted to have supported Emilio on this important milestone and look forward to continuing our relationship as the business enters its next chapter.”
The transaction further strengthens Stephens Scown’s position as a holistic legal adviser to creators, talent agencies and other businesses operating within the creator economy. Its multidisciplinary team provides specialist, commercially focused advice across the full lifecycle of a creator business, including corporate transactions, intellectual property, data protection, commercial arrangements and employment matters.
