Mia joined Stephens Scown in December 2025, working as a paralegal in the Intellectual Property and Data Protection team.  

With a focus primarily on data protection, her work also includes: 

• Supporting the handling of Data Subject Access Requests, from receipt through to drafting compliant responses.  

• Assisting with the preparation and review of Record of Processing Activities, ensuring client documentation accurately reflects data processing activities.  

• Working with clients on data protection issues and preparing quotations for client matters.  

Mia has a background in activity management and marketing, working on data protection compliance and health and safety, building a strong foundation for her current role.  

Outside of work, Mia like to spend time outdoors, particularly walking her puppy and exploring the South West’s coasts and countryside. She enjoys baking for family, friends, and community events, and has an interest in charity fundraising.
