Terry is Head of Employment at Stephens Scown LLP and has extensive experience of a wide range of commercial employment work, in both the public and private sector.


About

He is considered an authority on discrimination issues, harassment and bullying, has published on the subjects  and has represented national and international companies, as well as charitable and public sector organisations. Terry prides himself in advising organisations in a practical way without jargon, guiding them with tactics in complex disputes and always seeking workable solutions.

Terry graduated from the University of Nottingham and received his professional qualification from the College of Law in London.Terry has an adult education qualification and regularly carries out seminars and training courses for managers focussing on interactive and practical learning.

A member of the Employment Lawyers Association, Terry has also regularly advised local authorities and a large police force. A former chair of the Devon Racial Equality Council, he is one of the few qualified employment disputes mediators in the South West. Although Terry is an experienced litigator he is a strong advocate of resolving disputes at the earliest stage to avoid lengthy and costly litigation.
