Olivia is an associate at Stephens Scown in the Corporate team based in our Truro office.

Olivia qualified as a Solicitor in November 2018 after gaining a Law LLB (Hons) in 2014 from the University of Exeter, a Maîtrise en Droit Master 1 from the Université de Rennes 1 and an LPC with an MSc in Law and Business from the University of Law, Birmingham before joining Stephens Scown in August 2016.

Olivia advises on commercial arrangements including drafting, negotiating and advising on contracts, terms and conditions, supply and distribution agreements and agency agreements. She also advises on general corporate matters such as incorporation and corporate governance reviews.

A member of the Charity Law Association, Olivia assists charities of all sizes in a number of sectors with charity related matters including governance advice, charity mergers, incorporations, trustee duties and trading. Olivia also acts for a large number of not for profit clients in the third sector.

Recent work includes:

• Advising on a complex multi-million pound arrangement between a local authority Teckal company and the subsidiary of a Plc for the delivery of services
• Advising on general terms of business for the provision of goods and services in a range of sectors including hospitality and food and drink
• Supporting a variety of large charities on a number of charity law issues including corporate governance reviews, advising on trustee duties, and supporting on a number of charity restructures and mergers.

Outside of work Olivia enjoys sea swimming, hiking the coastal path and mastering the perfect sourdough loaf!
