Kate is an associate in the Dispute Resolution team, and part of the Construction specialist sector. She qualified as a solicitor in 2017, having trained with Stephens Scown from 2014-2018, she rejoined in August 2023.

She specialises in Energy and Construction, and some of her recent work has included:

  • Advising on industrial decarbonisation, in particular risk and mitigation strategy;
  • Drafting bespoke forms of construction contract, as well as warranties and terms and conditions;
  • Negotiating and amending various forms of construction contract; and
  • Advising on first of a kind energy projects, such as hydrogen and carbon, capture and storage projects.

Kate is also a Trustee of Wales’ leading sustainability charity Cynnal Cymru, as well as being a non-executive director of Olsights, a clean energy data visualisation and application developer.

That theme of sustainability extends to Kate’s interests outside of work, where she tends to her allotment, searches for second hand bargains, and creates through a love of knitting and crochet. She is also a keen rower and practices Pilates.
