Duncan joined the firm in 2017 and is a partner in our planning team.  He has advised across a broad range of sectors including residential and commercial development, affordable housing, retail, waste, energy and transport (rail and ferries).  He has also acted for private finance companies, undertaking due diligence on the purchase of property assets.

His experience includes:

  • Acting for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets on the consenting of the £5.5bn Wood Wharf development in Docklands
  • Acting for the developer in Dartford Borough Council v Landhold Capital
  • Acting for a developer group in successfully appealing an enforcement notice requiring the demolition of an entire housing estate
  • Successfully appealing the Isle of Wight Council’s refusal of consent for a new ferry terminal in East Cowes

Duncan has 2 children who keep him busy but, in what little spare time they leave him, he enjoys cycling, reading and he is currently learning to play the guitar.
