Amanda is a solicitor specialising in the private and public law children matters.  Her work includes assisting attending PLO, child protection and other legal meetings with clients, representing parents and other (wider) family members in court, both in care proceedings and disputes about child arrangements and other private law matters. She is also experienced in dealing with client’s with learning disabilities and other vulnerabilities and has represented many clients experiencing domestic abuse.

Amanda attended Plymouth University and qualified as a solicitor in 2012. She has previously volunteered as  Chairperson for the Devon Youth Offending Team. She has also completed a level one course with ADVA (a domestic abuse organisation).

Her recent work includes:

  • Assisting clients with a variety of complex issues includes Special Guardianship, parental alienation and removal from the jurisdiction
  • Representing a client in lengthy public law proceedings where the court required evidence to be heard from a child witness
  • Representing a vulnerable young client in care proceedings
  • Representing a client who lacked capacity through the Official Solicitor
  • Representing numerous clients in public law proceedings

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time exploring the UK and abroad.
