Two members of Stephens Scown’s Intellectual Property and Data Protection team have been recognised in the latest IP STARS rankings, highlighting the firm’s continued strength in intellectual property and brand protection.
IP STARS is the leading specialist guide to intellectual property practitioners worldwide. Published by Managing IP, it has been researching and ranking leading IP firms and practitioners for more than 30 years. The rankings are informed by extensive research, including market feedback, firm submissions and independent analysis by the Managing IP research team.
Partner and Head of Intellectual Property and Data Protection at the firm, Becky Pickford, and Trade Mark Attorney Olivia Richards have both been recognised in the latest rankings, reflecting their expertise and the strength of the wider team. Becky has been named as a Notable Practitioner, joining Thomas Chartres-Moore from the team who retains his place on the list, while Olivia has been highlighted as a Rising Star.
The recognition follows a period of notable success for Stephens Scown’s intellectual property practice. Earlier this year, the Intellectual Property and Data Protection and Dispute Resolution teams received the UK Impact Case of the Year award at the Managing IP Awards for their work on behalf of Thatchers in its successful case against Aldi.
Becky advises clients across a broad range of sectors on protecting, managing and enforcing their intellectual property rights. Recognised for her practical and commercially focused advice, she works closely with businesses to help them navigate complex legal challenges and maximise the value of their intellectual property assets.
Olivia’s inclusion in the rankings reflects her growing reputation in the specialist field of trade marks. Having qualified as a Trade Mark Attorney last year, she supports clients at every stage of brand protection, from clearance searches and registration through to enforcement and portfolio management.
Commenting on the rankings, Becky said:
“We’re delighted to be recognised by IP STARS. Intellectual property is one of the most valuable assets many businesses own, and it’s a privilege to help clients protect and maximise that value. This recognition reflects the expertise, collaboration and commitment of the whole team, as well as the trust our clients place in us.”
The rankings provide further assurance to clients seeking specialist support with intellectual property protection, trade marks, brand management and IP disputes.
The latest rankings reinforce Stephens Scown’s reputation as a trusted adviser on intellectual property matters, helping businesses protect their brands, innovations and commercial assets both in the UK and internationally.
