The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Solicitor to join our highly regarded Inheritance & Trust Disputes team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in one of the region’s leading contentious private client teams, acting on complex and high-value matters while working alongside recognised experts in the field.

You’ll advise on a broad range of inheritance, trust and cohabitation disputes, including:

  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Disputes regarding the validity of Wills and the administration of estates
  • Claims for breach of trust and trust administration issues
  • Disputes involving capacity and undue influence
  • Claims arising from separating unmarried/cohabiting couples
  • Drafting cohabitation agreements

You’ll have the opportunity to manage your own caseload of quality work, assist on larger matters, and take an active role in business development and mentoring junior team members.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in contentious trusts and probate work (or a strong background in litigation with an interest in this area)
  • Technically excellent with strong analytical and drafting skills
  • Confident in client management and able to build trusted relationships
  • Collaborative, proactive, and commercially minded
  • Ambitious about developing your career within a growing and successful team
