Rated as a ‘Leading Partner’ by the Legal 500, the definitive legal guide, Chris Twaits will be bringing his extensive expertise to leading South West law firm Stephens Scown’s Real Estate team, working as a partner within the commercial property specialist team.

Chris joins Stephens Scown to augment the existing team and boost its current standing in this key South West sector. With a wide range of commercial property experience, the focus of his work is acting for investors, developers, and occupiers of commercial property, further strengthening Stephens Scown’s expertise in this area.

Featured in the prestigious Legal 500 guide for commercial property work for the region in the editions from 2015-2025, Chris will be helping to further develop Stephens Scown’s strong South West reach by strengthening and supporting the growth of the firm’s Somerset presence and helping to build the firm’s offering, client base and professional network in Dorset.

Speaking about why he wanted to join the firm, Chris said, “The Firm’s employee-owned and B Corp™ Certified status are just two examples of how Stephens Scown has built a reputation for doing things differently. With client service being a key focus for me, the firm’s commitment to going above and beyond for clients and developing long-lasting relationships as trusted advisors made for a natural fit for my next chapter.

“As I learned about the firm’s greater South West aspirations and met a number of the firm’s people, I quickly decided that this is a firm I wanted to be part of!”

Managing Partner at Stephens Scown, Richard Baker, said, “I am thrilled to have Chris join us as a Partner in the Real Estate team. He comes with an outstanding reputation and is highly regarded for the quality of his work and expertise in the commercial property sector. He’ll be playing a key role in helping to drive our growth and strategy in the South West, and I know he’s going to make a real impact and further strengthen our existing offer.”
