Stephens Scown is proud to announce that five of its emerging professionals have been shortlisted for the 2026 Cornwall Chamber of Commerce 30 Under 30 Awards, which celebrate outstanding young talent making a difference across the Duchy.
The annual awards shine the light on inspiring individuals who are shaping Cornwall’s future across a range of sectors. This year’s shortlist features 80 rising stars, selected from a record number of nominations. From this group, 30 finalists will be announced at a ceremony on 8 May at the Falmouth Hotel.
Reflecting the calibre of our people and the breadth of their contributions, the Firm is delighted that Tegan Forwood, Tyler Richards, Isabel Gibson, Ellie Parnell and Eliot Quevedo have all secured their place on this year’s shortlist.
Richard Baker, Managing Partner, commented: “We are thrilled to see five of our colleagues recognised in this year’s shortlist.
“As an employee-owned and B Corp Certified law firm, their achievements reflect not only their individual talent, but also the Firm’s commitment to developing people who make a positive difference in their teams, their profession and their communities. As one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work, it also reflects that if you nurture a happy and supportive workplace culture, people will thrive.”
Recognising Outstanding Contributions
The five individuals work across a range of teams and sectors, highlighting the diverse opportunities the Firm offers for young people looking to follow a fulfilling career in law while enjoying the many benefits that living and working in Cornwall has to offer.
Tegan Forwood – Employment Team & Volunteer Lead
In addition to her leadership as the firm’s volunteer lead, which is essential to our B Corp commitments and yearly impact reporting, Tegan has received recognition for her exceptional work within the Employment team. She regularly gives speeches at educational institutions and career fairs, discussing her apprenticeship experience and motivating aspiring solicitors.
Tyler Richards – Family Team & Trustee
Tyler plays a key part in driving the Firm’s non‑court dispute resolution initiative, supporting families to explore alternatives to court proceedings. As a trustee, she represents Scowners at a strategic level, ensuring colleagues’ voices are heard in shaping the Firm’s direction.
Isabel Gibson – Employment Team
Despite taking an unusual path to become a lawyer, Issy’s accomplishments within the Employment team show tenacity and determination. By mentoring college students and helping French language learners with exam preparation, she has established dependable client relationships and gives back to the community at large.
Ellie Parnell – Social Housing Team
Since joining the Firm with no previous legal experience, Ellie has rapidly become an integral member of the Social Housing team. She works closely with major clients such as Coastline Housing and regularly takes part in neighbourhood action days, displaying the commitment and capability that earned her a place on the shortlist.
Eliot Quevedo – Corporate Team
Eliot advises on significant corporate transactions that demand strong commercial awareness and resilience. His work with local and national charity sector clients is helping to deliver meaningful impact across the communities they support.
The Firm extends its congratulations to all five shortlisted individuals and wishes them every success ahead of the celebration dinner in May.
