Katie joined Stephens Scown in March 2026, working as a paralegal in the Dispute Resolution team’s specialist DebtLink subsector.

Graduating from the University of Exeter with an LLB Law with Business degree, she has experience in the consultancy sector, securing R&D tax relief for clients. Her current work includes:

• Sending out letters before action to recover debt.
• Negotiating with debtors.
• Setting up payment plans to process debt.
• Issuing claims with the County Court.
• Requesting judgment and enforcing judgment if necessary.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys surfing, hiking, camping, travel, and trips in her homebuilt camper.
