Izzy joined Stephens Scown in 2022 and is a solicitor in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team.
Specialising in contract and business disputes, plus regulatory matters, she has extensive experience in the following areas:
- Shareholder and partner disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Intellectual property disputes
Izzy assists clients with all stages of the dispute resolution process, from pre-action strategy and early resolution through to formal court proceedings. Izzy has also attended mediations, without-prejudice meetings and has experience in settlement negotiation. Examples of her recent work include:
- Being a key member of the team working on the Thatchers v Aldi case and successfully bringing a trademark infringement claim against supermarket giant Aldi
- Assisting with an urgent injunction application to have misappropriated funds returned to a company
- Helping clients pursue or defend breach of contract claims
- Defending a statutory nuisance claim under s82 Environmental Protection Act 1990
- Guiding clients in respect of bringing complaints to the Financial Ombudsman
Izzy graduated from the University of Exeter in 2021 and undertook the Legal Practice Course with LLM at the University of Law, achieving a distinction. Since joining the firm to undertake her training contract as a paralegal, Izzy completed seats in Commercial Dispute Resolution, Family Finance and Rural Property.
Outside of work, Izzy enjoys socialising with friends, travel and going to the gym.
