Izzy is a solicitor in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Exeter. Izzy specialises in contract and business disputes, and regulatory matters.
Experience with contractual disputes, shareholder and partner disputes, professional negligence claims, intellectual property disputes and cyber fraud cases. Izzy has also attended mediations, without-prejudice meetings and has experience in settlement negotiation.
Examples of recent work include:
- Being a key member of the team working on the Thatchers v Aldi case and successfully bringing a trademark infringement claim against supermarket giant Aldi
- Assisting with an urgent injunction application to have misappropriated returned to a company
- Helping clients pursue or defend breach of contract claims
- Defending a statutory nuisance claim under s82 Environmental Protection Act 1990
- Guiding clients in respect of bringing complaints to the Financial Ombudsman
Izzy joined Stephens Scown in September 2022 as a paralegal and undertook her training contract with the firm. Izzy graduated from the University of Exeter in 2021 and undertook the Legal Practice Course with LLM at the University of Law, achieving a distinction.
Izzy is also co-chair of our Exeter Professionals Group which aims to connect junior professionals in the wider Exeter area.
Outside of work, Izzy enjoys paddle boarding and playing football for Seaton Ladies. She also enjoys socialising with friends, travel and going to the gym.
