Bernadette joined Stephens Scown in September 2026 as a trainee solicitor in the Family Finance team.  

Her work with the team includes: 

• Negotiating financial settlements to help achieve fair and sustainable outcomes.  

• Assisting partners with contested financial remedy proceedings.  

• Assisting with the enforcement and implementation of financial orders.  

She graduated from the University of Exeter in 2025 in English Law and French Law/Master 1 in European Law, spending a year abroad in Rennes for the EU Master’s section. Bernadette completed the SQE 1 and 2 in 2026.  

Outside of work, Bernadette enjoys ballet and contemporary dance, running and hiking.
