We are delighted to have won the prestigious Employer of the Year category at the Exeter Express & Echo Business Awards on 17 April.
The awards, which are now in their fifth year, were announced at a gala dinner at Sandy Park on Friday night. We faced stiff competition from Devon Air Ambulance, Manor Lodge and Marketing Source, but came out triumphant, winning the Employer of the Year category.
Over 130 Exeter based businesses and entrepreneurs entered the awards.
Commenting on the win, managing partner Robert Camp said: “Our entry highlighted how crucial our staff are to our success and the way they contribute to our strategy by sharing their ideas on how we can improve the firm.”
A ballot took place to give all staff from the Exeter office who wanted to go to the awards a chance to attend. Phillippa Wegg, an assistant from our dispute resolution team was one of the ballot winners and said: “I had a great night with great people. Stephens Scown is the best company ever and a pleasure to work for. The people are fantastic and all have the same great work ethic.”
