Award winning Private Eye Cartoonist, Tony Husband, is coming to Exeter to support the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance (EDAA) with their invaluable community work.
EDAA and their committed member, Stephens Scown LLP, are hosting an afternoon tea event on Thursday 29 June where Tony Husband will read through his book, which is part of the national Reading Well on prescription scheme for Dementia – Take Care, Son: The Story of My Dad and his Dementia.
Tony’s dad’s story highlights the complexities of the disease with sincerity, emotion and humour.
Gina explains “we are very much looking forward to welcoming Tony back to Exeter, following his visit last November for the Exeter University. I was so touched by Tony’s story that it felt poignant to ask him to return and share this with another audience. We are delighted he has accepted our invitation. I have no doubt those attending will enjoy Tony’s talk. For us, this adds to our mission of raising awareness and education and aspires to illustrate the importance of collective action as our growing membership strive to collaborate with us across the city. We are very grateful to Stephens Scown for kindly offering to host our event”.
