Sam Moles is an Employee Ownership Services Consultant in the Stephens Scown Employee Ownership team, working with employee-owned businesses and organisations considering employee ownership.

With experience spanning employee ownership culture, governance, employee engagement and trustee development, Sam helps businesses realise the full potential of employee ownership. He works with leaders, trustees and employee owners to build understanding, strengthen ownership culture and support long-term business success.

Sam combines advisory expertise with lived employee ownership experience. A former trustee of Stephens Scown’s Employee Ownership Trust, he has represented employee owners on the firm’s Strategic Board since 2024 and understands the opportunities and challenges of employee ownership from both a governance and leadership perspective.

In 2023, Sam was recognised by the Employee Ownership Association (eoa) as Employee Owner of the Year for his contribution to developing employee ownership culture and engagement. He is an active participant in the employee ownership community and regularly works with businesses seeking to strengthen the connection between ownership, engagement and performance.

Sam specialises in helping employee-owned businesses move beyond the transaction stage of employee ownership and create workplaces where people genuinely think and act like owners. Through advisory work, training, facilitation and trustee support, he helps organisations unlock the commercial and cultural benefits that employee ownership can bring.
