Joining Stephens Scown in March 2024, Joy Vollans works as a Strategic Development Consultant.

She works closely with team leaders to support the strategic development of our teams, ensuring the right structures, systems and processes are in place to deliver commercial success.

In her board advisory role, Joy works alongside Chris Twaits developing the firm’s new office in Bournemouth, promoting Stephens Scown’s work across Dorset and supporting its growth in the region.

With an extensive background in senior leadership roles, she has been responsible for successfully driving expansion, including mergers, building and integrating teams and functions, driving people initiatives, and leading on estate decision making.

Examples of her work include:

• Managing the administrative and financial conversion from a partnership to an LLP.
• Developing a senior leadership development programme with Cranfield University.
• Project managing the build of a 38kft2 office building (including development finance) and led internal communications around relocation.
• Led successful applications for B Corp status and for the Time to Change Mental Health initiative.

Outside of work she enjoys travelling, attending music gigs and walking the dog (preferably near hills or water).
