Giles is a partner and joint head of our Corporate team having joined the firm in 2006. He is based in Exeter and deals predominantly with M&A work with a particular focus on buying and selling IFA firms.

He qualified as a solicitor in September 2009 having studied modern and contemporary history at Queen Mary, University of London and law at BPP Law School in London gaining a distinction on the Legal Practice Course.

Giles has over 12 years’ experience in advising business owners throughout the lifecycle of their business including start up, funding, share incentives, acquisitions and exit.

Recent highlights include:

• The disposal of the specialist drainage, cleaning and surveying company Oneline Surveys to Adler and Allan
• The disposal of a commercial laundry equipment specialist to Wolf Laundry
• The disposal of a financial services intermediary to Fidelity International
• The disposal of an independent financial planning business to Paradigm Norton.
