Catherine joined Stephens Scown in February 2026 working in the Construction team.  

Since qualifying in 2003, she has extensive experience in:  

• all aspects of construction procurement and contracts; 

• infrastructure and energy project contracts;  

• professional appointments and ancillary documents such as bonds, guarantees, and collateral warranties. 

Recent examples of her work include: 

• drafting and negotiating EPC and O&M contracts for solar PV installations. 

• negotiating the terms of a major cabling contract for the redistribution of green energy. 

• drafting and negotiating construction management documentation for the development of a Marriott hotel in the South West. 

• drafting and negotiating contracts for social housing procured using off-site modular systems. 

Catherine has been a member of North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team (NDSART) for 13 years, is a rope rescue technician, a hill party leader, and a remote rescue medical technician. She is a mountain rescue search dog handler and a qualified search dog assessor. 

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys walking, climbing, surfing, training her dogs, expanding her poultry flock and spending time with her family.
