Simon qualified as solicitor in September 2003 after gaining a LLB law degree from the University of Exeter and joined Stephens Scown in 1999.

Simon acts for a range of clients with commercial real estate interests and has extensive experience acting in relation to complex and substantial freehold and leasehold  matters. Simon advises on conditional agreements (call options, put options and conditional contracts) and high value leases.

His work includes

  • Acting for a  company in the health care sector acquiring a freehold and leasehold property portfolio of 40 plus properties over the course of the last ten years.
  • Addressing an array of title issues for a client over their land holding including one of the largest land registrations in the south west at the time. This work enabled our client to expand its operation and allow for future diversification of its landholding.
  • Devising a legal structure where a site was in multi party ownership to allow it to be  run as one operation. This included as series of leases, option agreements, and licences in order to achieve our client’s commercial objectives.
  • Acquiring property portfolios for a number of clients and acting on the related lettings.
