2024 is set to be a year of considerable movement and change in the fields of HR, employment and immigration. In our next update we’ll be looking at some of the key changes coming including:

  • Holiday reform around holiday entitlement and pay for part-year workers and those with irregular hours; what are your options now for how you can approach this?
  • The expansion of rights around flexible working, paternity leave and carers’ leave and extended redundancy protection for pregnant women and new parents; what are the new rights and how do you need to change your policies?
  • Other legislative changes; the new duty on employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, reduced TUPE consultation obligations for smaller-scale transfers and a right for workers to request more predictable working.
  • Corporate immigration; how you might need to factor the increased salary requirements for skilled workers and potential changes to the shortage occupation list and penalties for employing people without the right to work into your recruitment plans.

The webinar will conclude with a Q&A.

For the first time this year, we’re offering three ways for you to join us for our update:

  • Listen on Teams Live on the day – Thursday 21 March 10am-11am
  • Join our team in person for a watch party and refreshments in our Truro office on Tuesday 26 March, or our Exeter office on Wednesday 27 March each at 9am- 10.30am.
