Employee Owners Knowledge Sharing – Understanding Commerciality
Searching, enlarging with magnifying glass concept banner.

In our experience one of the greatest, if not the greatest, levers pulled in the transition to employee ownership is in the mindset change unlocked in the people of the business. The ability to have employees starting to think, feel and act more like owners is where people and business can unleash the most benefit.

That is not a straightforward endeavour though and one of the biggest barriers to overcome is in supporting employees to understand commerciality and how the wider business around their specific role functions.

Some roles and day-to-day responsibilities veer more closely to this while others might feel a long way away. So how do you ensure everyone has a decent grasp of commerciality? What support might certain roles need that they’ve not had before being employee owner? And what might the repercussions be if this overlooked?

In our next Employee Owners Knowledge Share we’re joined by guest speaker David Alterman. David is Chief Executive Officer at The Nursery Research & Planning, a market research agency specialising in brand communications for clients including Yorkshire Tea, Omaze, Vanguard, British Airways and Yeo Valley in this part of the world. David will be joining to share his insight and experience.

Following the Q&A we will then divide into breakout rooms.

Join us for our informal knowledge share if you are an employee trustee, on an employee council, an employee owner, or from an employee-owned business with a vested interest, question to ask, or best practice to share.
