Property Disputes

Taking the plunge and deciding to add on that extension, or building your dream kitchen is a big commitment. Sometimes, though, despite good intentions and research, things go wrong. Maybe costs are spiralling out of control, perhaps a two week job has been significantly delayed for no good reason. Whatever the problem, Stephens Scown’s efficient and professional legal team will be able to support you.

Claiming and realising a Share in Land Property

It is becoming more and more common for people to buy properties together or to lend money to family members in order to help them onto the 'property ladder'.  Unfortunately when relationships break down or when friends fall out, one owner may wish to realise their share in a property or may dispute the value or size of their share.  The law that applies in such circumstances can be extremely complicated but at Stephens Scown LLP we have specialist help available.  This can include helping somebody who has been promised land making sure that the promise is kept.
