Jennifer joined Stephens Scown in 2016 and qualified as a Solicitor in October 2023. Jennifer has experience dealing with shareholders’ agreements, company governance, mergers and acquisitions.

Jennifer’s recent work includes:

• Updating articles of association to include B Corp wording for a south-west company beginning their B Corp certification
• Advising on shareholder agreements.
• Share sale and asset purchase of public house and hotel
• Share sale of local company to large international corporation
• Supporting a local B Corp business with third party investment whilst maintaining the company’s values and sustainability targets.

Jennifer also has a special interest in purposeful business and the B Corp community. There is increasing momentum towards sustainable and purposeful business within the UK and globally, with organisations and leaders focusing on more than just profit. Instead, businesses are also considering their impact on the environment, the people in their supply chain and those that they employ, with an aim to improve the way they work and minimise their impact on the planet. As one of Stephens Scown’s B Corp™ Champions and a Cornwall B Local co-chair, Jennifer is knowledgeable and passionate about purposeful business.

Having previously lived abroad, Jennifer loves to travel as much as possible. In her spare time Jennifer loves to paddleboard and go ambling on the Cornish coast path.
