Paula is a commercial property solicitor in our Real Estate team. She joined Stephens Scown in 2021. Paula qualified as a solicitor in 1998.

Paula undertakes all aspects of property related work for private individuals, SME’s, companies and charities. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Acting in connection with the sale and purchase of commercial properties and all aspects of financing such purchases
  • Acting on behalf of clients in the acquisition of development sites and the disposal of such sites by way of plot or flat sales
  • Acting on behalf of Landlords and Tenants in all aspects of leases, surrenders and property management.

Examples of Paula’s recent work include:

  • Acting in the share acquisition of a beachfront hotel to include additional land being acquired and agreeing rights of access to a private beach and through a private road
  • Acting for a holiday resort in connection with the sales of lodges to include the transfer of the freehold plots and the dealing with the building documents
  • Acting for a Tenant Management Company in the acquisition of the freehold of their block of flats to include negotiating deeds of variations for several of the individual flat owners
  • Acting for a client taking out bridging finance in relation to development and refurbishment works for their Hotel and group of companies.

Paula is the current chair of Trustees for a local charity called Glen Carne whose aims are to relieve need, hardship and distress of disadvantaged people in Cornwall.

She is an avid travel addict and has been fortunate to travel to some amazing countries around the world. Locally Paula enjoys walking, reading and eating out as well as visiting the theatre and seeing live music.
