Jo is a trainee solicitor in our Real Estate team sitting across both the Energy and Mining and Minerals specialist teams.
Jo joined the firm in May 2019 working as a paralegal in the Corporate team in Exeter before commencing her training contract in October 2020. Jo’s first seat was within the Dispute Resolution department where she spent her first four months with Commercial and Construction Disputes teams followed by a further four months with the Property Litigation team.
Prior to joining the firm, Jo obtained an MSci (Hons) in Geoscience from Royal Holloway, University of London. Jo has previous industry experience across mining and oil and gas sectors having worked for both operating mining companies and service providers as a qualified geologist for 3 years based in Australia. Jo also remains a Fellow of the Geological Society of London. Converting to law in 2017, Jo completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and later an LLM in Legal Practice (incorporating the Legal Practice Course) in 2018 having undertaken elective courses in private acquisition, commercial property and commercial law with intellectual property.
Outside of work, Jo regularly attends football matches both domestically and internationally. Jo is also a keen scuba diver and likes to travel for diving as much as possible.
