Kathryn is an Associate in the firm’s IP and IT team advising clients internationally on a range of IP/IT matters, including IP protection and exploitation, IT contracts and data protection issues.
Kathryn qualified in September 2010 and spent 6 years working in-house for Travelport - a global software company in the travel & tourism sector listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Before this Kathryn spent 4 years at a Cornish law firm where she advised a variety of organisations ranging from start-ups and charities to public limited companies and everything in between.
Kathryn enjoys using the knowledge and skills she has gained in-house to provide practical commercial legal advice to Stephen Scown’s clients both in the South West and internationally.
Whilst working in-house Kathryn provided legal support to offices in the UK, the Nordics, Russia, Israel, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, France, Spain, Portugal and Brazil. She advised on a range of issues including agreements with travel agencies and airlines, data protection issues, software agreements, website and software terms and conditions, competitions and prize draws, advice to the marketing teams, litigation support and advising on the purchase of a distributor from a well-known airline.
Outside of work Kathryn enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Cornwall.
