The Stephens Scown Mines and Minerals Team has extensive specialist expertise and knowledge of the mineral extraction industry. The team has a national reputation within the industry in dealing with all aspects of mines and minerals work throughout the UK. The Team act for a number of national high profile clients and has particular expertise in property and planning related mineral and waste disposal work.
We have a close association with companies and individuals working in the extractive industry including hard rock mining and quarrying, sand and gravel extraction, precious metal underground mining, production and processing of aggregates, the production of ready mixed concrete, concrete products, asphalt plants and waste disposal. Through this we have acquired extensive knowledge of mining and quarrying production and processing, inert and putrescible in-fill, landfill sites and all associated planning and environmental issues.
In addition to the property and planning related work the Team also handles a wide range of company and commercial work including business acquisitions and sales, employment work, competition advice and commercial agreements for our mines and minerals clients. The team has set up a dawn panel raid team, and we have particular expertise in handling complex mineral litigation for our clients.
