Unfair Treatment
Some employees complain they’re subjected to unfair treatment through bullying or harassment. Most people recognise behaviour which upsets them, and causes them to feel anxious and stressed because they feel the workplace has become hostile and intimidating. Employers have a duty of care in these circumstances and we can advise you about what action you can take to stop the bullying or how you may be able to make your working conditions better.
Similarly, discrimination and victimisation can be linked to the protected grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation. Where people are treated less favourably on one of those grounds, they may well have a claim for discrimination. Most employers would accept that such behaviour is not permitted in the workplace and would want to put a stop to it. We can help you to resolve these sorts of workplace issues. Employees may also have a claim where they’re victimised for complaining about the treatment, whether it’s for them self or on someone else’s behalf.
