Accidents at Work

Accidents and injuries at work are really common, but they’re avoidable and shouldn’t happen. There are a whole range of things that can be involved in causing an incident including dangerous machinery, training equipment and lifting heavy objects. Hazards in the workplace can lead to disease, deafness, Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and many other long-term injuries.

Employers must follow strict health and safety regulations. The consequences of a workplace accident are usually serious, both for the injured worker and for the employer.

At Stephens Scown we’re aware of the practical difficulties involved in making a claim against your employer. We treat each case with great care and attention, to cause as little aggravation as possible. Employers are required to hold insurance to cover workplace accidents, so you wouldn’t be claiming directly from your employer. However, we appreciate that an employer’s unlikely to be best pleased if a claim is made against them.

If you’ve suffered an injury as a result of an accident in the workplace, or you have a disease or other long-term injury, then get in touch with our experienced team of lawyers for specialist help and advice.
