Pre Nuptial Agreements

Our family solicitors have expertise in dealing with all types of agreements and can offer tailor made solutions to suit any special circumstances that arise. Agreements of this nature can raise difficult issues for clients. We ensure that great care and sensitivity is taken throughout the process.

A pre-nuptial agreement is a formal document prepared before a couple marry. It records what they each bring into the marriage and sets out what they should each receive if the relationship breaks down.

Post-nuptial agreements cover the same range of matters but are made after the wedding.

Pre-civil partnership and post-civil partnership agreements follow the same principles as pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, but are entered into by those who have entered or are just about to enter into a civil partnership.
