Building and Construction Disputes

Employing someone to renovate your property, build an extension or even a new home from scratch can often be an expensive and stressful process, involving architects, builders and other sub-contractors.

Unfortunately disputes can happen as a result. The work may not have been completed to a professional standard or may have been halted because of an argument over the amount of money owed to the builder.

We’re there to advise you on your legal options and help you to resolve the dispute as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. We have experience of dealing with a broad range of building disputes and if it’s not possible to resolve matters by way of negotiation, mediation or some other form of alternative dispute resolution, it may be necessary to issue court proceedings.

Depending on the type of contract you have with your builder or architect, you may need to pursue your claim by way of arbitration, adjudication or expert determination. We can advise you on all these options.
