Disputes over Estates and Inheritance

Disputes involving Wills and Estates are collectively known as Contested Probate disputes.  Sadly, such disputes are becoming more and more common because family relationships are  more complicated and widespread ownership of property means that Estates are worth more.  At Stephens Scown LLP we understand that these disputes can be extremely upsetting often involving close family and friends and so where possible we encourage parties to negotiate an amicable outcome.

An individual may want to challenge the validity of a Will, or the provision it makes.  They may feel the Will maker lacked the necessary capacity to understand their actions or that they may have been persuaded to change their Will against their true wishes.  No matter what the problem, Stephens Scown LLP expert team can help.
