If you have separated from your spouse you should make a new Will. Most people don't realise that if you are married and separate, your Will still stands regardless of whether you are still living with your ex-spouse or not.
If you do not want your ex-spouse to inherit your assets you should make a new Will as soon as you separate from them. Do not wait for your divorce to be finalised - the period from separation to finalising a divorce can cover a long period of time.
