Lucy Palmer is the firm's Director of Human Resources. She is a highly experienced Chartered MCIPD qualified HR professional who has worked for over seventeen years in the field of professional services.


About

Lucy brings significant strategic and operational management experience to Stephens Scown, having spent over seven years heading up the HR function in law firms in the South West.  As a result, Lucy has extensive knowledge of the people issues that law firms face, and is therefore able to shape the HR strategy to meet those challenges, while providing a framework of best practice human resource and training delivery.

As Director of Human Resources, Lucy is a key member of the senior management team, and advises the Board and Partners in relation to all people matters.  She is responsible for writing, implementing and developing Stephens Scown's HR and Training strategy, and ensuring that her team deliver an efficient and responsive HR service throughout the firm.   Lucy is particularly passionate about identifying and developing high calibre client-focused individuals, and fostering the best atmosphere in which our employees can work.

Previously, Lucy spent ten years in the City of London, with Lloyds TSB and Goldman Sachs International.
 
In addition to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Lucy is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI), the Institute of Legal Executives and the Devon and Somerset Law Society.
