Tim Atkins is a partner and member of the Commercial Property Team and has extensive knowledge in commercial property matters.

About

He has extensive experience in acting for the rural community and has been involved in the sale and purchase of many farms over the years. He has also been involved in many diversification projects thus enabling the farming community to continue to be sustainable.

Tim has an interest in affordable housing and has been involved with many Community Land Trust projects in Cornwall. He has also acted for a very progressive local Housing Association since 1998 which has recently provided the first affordable housing on the Outer Isles of the Isles of Scilly.

Working in the south west he has acted for mineral companies for many years and this work is extremely varied. He is used to dealing with complicated (often unregistered) titles having been involved in land disposals for a large international mineral company for many years; he has developed an expertise in Uplift or Overage provisions; this includes giving seminars to outside groups.

Tim joined the firm in 1996 and has developed a varied and interesting workload and a variety of clients. He acts for mineral companies, charities and a local housing association and has national, regional and local clients.

He is the honoury Solicitor for Cornwall Wildlife Trust and has an interest in conservation.
