Holiday and Residential Parks

The UK has many beautiful and well run holiday and residential parks – whether they be on the coast or rugged landscape of Cornwall, the picturesque lake district or the heart of the Cotswolds – to name just a few.

Our specialist holiday and residential parks team work with park owners across the country.  We understand how important the parks’ industry is to national tourism, but also its importance on a regional scale as providers of accommodation and as employers.

Running a caravan park, whether it is a holiday or a residential park can be highly rewarding but inevitably legal issues will arise and not all solicitors are familiar with the set up on caravan parks and with park law. That’s where we are different. As members of the British Holiday and Homes Park Association (BH&HPA) and as one of the few law firms in the country with an established specialist parks team, we can offer the right expertise to meet your needs, whether you are just starting out or you are an experienced park operator.

We offer professional, friendly, cost effective advice in areas including:

  • your rights under a holiday license agreement or lease
  • disputes under the Mobile Homes Act 1983
  • increasing the pitch fee
  • non-payment of pitch fee and your options
  • the procedure in the Residential Property Tribunal
  • buying and selling caravan parks

Whatever your needs, we guarantee you exceptional customer service from a single point of contact – someone who takes the time to understand your business, the issues you are facing and how to take things forward in a positive light.

Contact

I have been a Director at Longbeach Leisure Park in Hornsea and Beachcomber Holiday Park in Cleethorpes for the past eight years. During this time I have encountered a number of situations whereby I needed expert help and guidance. Kirstie Apps knows holiday park law better than anyone I have ever spoken to and has been the only person that I have trusted to give me the expertise and guidance the companies have needed. I would highly recommend Kirstie Apps’ expertise and advice to anyone running a holiday park in the UK.
