Restructuring and Redundancies

Often employers need to change the way they work and this can mean restructuring the business.

As a result, unfortunately it’s sometimes necessary to make redundancies and to change the roles of some employees.  When this happens, employers need to think carefully about the rights and contractual entitlements of employees.  By changing an employee’s role without his or her consent, an employer may breach their contract and face a claim for constructive unfair dismissal.

However, when the right processes are in place, businesses can become more efficient and effective, saving costs while still delivering their aims and objectives.  We can help you every step of the way from initial planning, consultation and review, through to implementation and conclusion.
