Section 106 Agreements

Section 106 agreements are legal agreements sought by the Local Planning Authority to secure the planning obligations considered necessary to secure a planning permission, such as the delivery of affordable housing.

As with most aspects of the planning system, this is a fast-moving area and financial contributions that in the past have been secured through s.106 agreements are now the subject of a new regime; the Community Infrastructure Levy.

Our Planning Team has considerable experience of negotiating on, and drafting, s.106 agreements and variations to them. We are able to provide to excellent and up to date advice on the range of legal agreements relating to planning proposals.
