Environment and Land Use

As one of the only dedicated Environment Teams in the South West we understand that  environmental issues go hand in hand with the development of land and can have a critical effect on the financial viability of any development or project.

Our environment team work across a wide range of sectors – ranging from commercial developments to holiday parks and from mining to agriculture.

We can guide and support you through the environmental aspects of your project from start to finish – advising you on Environment Agency prosecutions, protected areas of land, areas of natural  interest, environmental assessments and permits for run off water.

Ian is a Member of the Law Society's Planning Panel. He is also leads the firm's Environment team. He has particular experience of the mining and waste industries.

David is a Partner and heads up the firm's Planning Team. He qualified in the City of London in 1990. Since then he has specialised in town and country planning law. He has particular expertise with complex legal agreements, judicial review, enforcement, housing, retail and telecommunications.

Sarah-Jane joined the firm in 2008 as a trainee and joined the Planning & Environment team upon qualification in 2010. As part of her training she spent 18 months in the planning department where she assisted with Planning Inquiries, enforcement proceedings and general planning advice.
